The Old West Side Association sponsored its first Homes Tour in 1973 to demonstrate the desirability of living in and preserving an older neighborhood. Inside any of the houses on the tour, you can see how Old West Side residents gracefully fit their older homes to the demands of modern times. Proceeds from the Tour support the activities of the Old West Side Association, including the Old West Side News, neighborhood meetings, the Lurie Terrace Concert, and the Children's Festival at Wurster Park.
