To help preserve the Old West Side, the Historic District Commission acts as resource and regulator for work to be performed on our properties. Our ordinance and supporting documents act as a guide in this process. The specific regulations and requirements may be obtained from the Historic District Coordinator at City Hall. New construction as well as projects concerning restoration and preservation generally require building permits and may need to be reviewed before work begins.
